If your family has been affected by a spouse’s addiction, you may be looking for support groups for spouses of partners with addictions. At Philly Family Life Counseling LLC, we offer a Relationships in Recovery (RNR) support program that can help your family restart and rebuild. Your spouse entering addiction counseling is just one first step. Addiction affects more than the addicted, so if you feel your family has been pulled apart by your spouse’s addiction, our Relationships in Recovery (RNR) program might be the perfect fit for you.
Relationships in Recovery (RNR) – What to Know Before Attending
Our Relationships in Recovery (RNR) Counseling Program is an effective and helpful support group for partners of those with addictions. If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you and your family, here are a few things to know:
- The group itself is small, limited from 5-10 participants. It meets once weekly for five weeks. Each session is 1 ½ hours.
- The program is co-facilitated by an experienced life coach and a licensed, experienced clinician.
- The goal of the group is empowerment. Each session is designed to empower you and to show you how to react and respond to your partner’s current addictive behavior. We focus on your self-care and provide tools to help you cope with your spouse’s unsettling behavior, whether they currently express addictive behaviors, are transitioning, are in recovery, or live a long-time-recovery lifestyle.
- Our program gives tools to the non-addicted spouse, as well as offers additional family therapy and couples counseling if necessary.
